The Boyfriend

Well folks guess who finally has a boyfriend? Well he's pretty cool I guess... Actually he is a nerd but whatever... Also if I ever delete this post because "it's from my past" so help me! Well you are probably wondering who he is and everything about him. His name is Glen Jackman, he is 23, served a mission in Mexico, and is currently working full-time at Nucor as a Detailer. Wanna know what's crazy!? He has a huge family like I can't remember how many siblings exactly but it's somewhere around 9. Any who you are probably wondering why he isn't in college, so he took last semester off, then forgot to register for classes this semester, and he is also working full-time so it's kind of hard to juggle both right now. He is actually thinking of switching his major to Engineering so he can get promoted at work! He likes anime (I only enjoy one show so far it is called Erased) but yeah anime isn't really my thing.... He also loves Star Wars (Chris you will probably get along except he doesn't like sports sorry).

Onto the next order of business. So it's Valentine's Day and Glen got me flowers, as well as invited me over to his parents house for dinner. Which I wasn't able to go to but that's okay because I would have had hidden in the bathroom at some point. Apparently his whole extended family came over too.  I wasn't able to go but they stalked my Facebook (which is super embarrassing) and yeah....

That's my boyfriend y'all...

You Can't Always Get What You Want

Well I am way behind!! I graduated from Sky View High School in May of 2014 and started going to Utah State University in the fall of 2014. Honestly, I would never have guessed my life would be the way it is after high school, thinking I was going to be a photographer, then I changed my mind to micro biology, none of those were right (or easy) for me and my sister, Rachael, kept hinting at me to look into FCHD, take a few classes, see how I liked it. Thank heavens for wise older siblings, because I am in a major that is so perfect for me I can't explain how blessed I am!

So now I am majoring in Family, Consumer, and Human Development with an emphasis in Family and Community Services and a minor in Sociology! As of right now, I am looking into doing something with troubled youth...

Being a 19 year old I try and tell myself "You're technically still a teenager and it's totally fine that you aren't having much luck with dating!" But then my emotional female side comes out saying "why am I single still? All of my friends are getting engaged, married, and having kids. Why do I have to wait so long?" Sometimes I really struggle with being single. Especially right now, I have been on like 6 or 7 dates with this one guy and we get along really well, he is the only guy that can make me laugh (not a pity laugh a REAL laugh) I have never dated someone who can make me laugh like that.... I don't know what's going to happen next, but I know that Heavenly Father is going to help me through it and figure out the next step in my life. No matter what happens I will have someone by my side supporting me through it all!

Oh something really cool that I started last year and haven't really been good at keeping up with it but I still love it when I do it. My Dear Eternal Companion journal, which I vent, write how much I love about him, etc... And one day I will give it to him... Whoever he may be...

College Life Is The Life For Me!

So it has been a very long time since I have posted on here! But here I am again (you all thought you had gotten rid of me for good!). So first things first, I graduated from Sky View in the spring of 2014 and that fall I started college at Utah State University. My first semester of college was the pits, I literally just poo'd that whole semester (C's get degree's right?). But I was in a major that I absolutely did not like! That was my biggest problem, my major when I first started college was Biology. My sister recommended that I look into the FCHD major. They have so many emphasis' and I didn't know what I wanted to do! So I then decided to take the pre-requisites for FCHD, I then took those classes my spring 2015 semester, loved them, and made FCHD my major with my emphasis being Family and Community Services. I am preparing for fall 2015 semester and I just bought a brand new laptop which I am absolutely in love with!

Last Band Season EVER is now over!!

It was the most bitter sweet farewell I have ever had. Doing Marching Band for 4 years and being with the Sky View Marching Band for 13 years straight! There is no way I wouldn't cry! I am so sad to be leaving and yet so glad to be done with it.... I wish I could be with the band the rest of my life actually! I love all of the kids and how hard they all have worked this year. I can truly say I am the proudest Trumpet Mama ever.

Sweetheart's 2013

So I went to sweetheart's with what I think is a really hott boy (too bad he isn't a member...) he is a really nice kid though and was very respectful. I had so much fun and felt like Juliet in my dress! For our day date we went sledding with a four wheeler, we hooked like 5 sleds up to it haha bad plan. I got a a lot of bruises on my knee, back and elbows. It was so painful but also so much fun! Then after we went inside and had milk and doughnuts. Then later that night we went to the dance and had a blast (not as much fun at the actual dance as it was at Sadies). After the dance we went to my house and watched Cool Runnings! Then I took my date home and no kiss and I got home at around 12:30 and couldn't fall asleep so laid in bed for the longest time! But I had a blast!

BOA!

So BOA was amazing! I think we got 2nd at red rocks I think? Red Rocks declared Utah state champion 1st place was a band from California and so technically we were the state champions! not sure and can't remember but that night was great I met a lot of nice boys from Foothill. They are from Las Vegas area. And then BOA prelims we got 2nd place in 3a division. And in finals we got 6th place. While we were waiting in line for awards I was talking to Westlake people and there was this kid that was 6'5" without his shako and with his shako he was about 7'!!! And then I met this really nice kid who was flirting with me the whole time at first it was awkward but now I don't really care. It was a really fun trip!
